Meet Brianna Melton | Owner Body Contouring and Laser Lipo Specialist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Brianna Melton and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brianna, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I came up with the idea for my business after interning for a local spa in Houston. After graduating from Texas Southern University with my Bachelors in Health Adminatration, the spa hired me and there I learned the ins and outs of running a business. Health and wellness has always been important to me, just as important as being in business for myself. Working for the local spa inspired me to venture off and create a brand where women and men will allow me tor create the best version of them with body contouring and cosmetic laser lipo.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
As the Owner/Body Contouring and Laser Lipo Specialist of Lux Contour & Style Co., I specialize in wellness and detox services including non-invasive laser lipo, skin tightening, and wood therapy to enhance and shape one’s body into the body they deserve. Lux Contour & Style Co. is devoted to strengthening client’s confidence and obtaining a healthier lifestyle while in a comfortable luxurious atmosphere. It is important that all our clients achieve their body goals and practice a healthier lifestyle to feel confident in their everyday life because when you look good, you feel good. Before each session, all new clients must schedule a consultation with our specialist to discuss measurements, health concerns, and which procedure will be best for their body type. Starting Lux Contour & Style was difficult, I changed the names of the business multiple times, changed locations a few times, and even had trouble finding someone to create my logo. When starting a business no one really discuss how difficult it is to get your ideas to reality such as finding the interior designer, photographer, and rental property while trying to get them to see your ideas of how you want the business to look. In this season of starting a business, I’ve learned that you can have a business plan or even a launch day but, conflicts can come up and delay your plans.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My favorite spot in Houston is the Galleria Food Truck Park. They always have interesting food to try.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The person that deserve a little credit and recognition in my story is my mother, She has multiple business ventures and always tried to persuade me into starting a business. While working multiple jobs my mother always gave me business advice before starting my current business in body contouring. So, when I told her I was ready to quit my job and start my business, she was supportive and gave me the tools and confidence to start my business and other upcoming ventures.
