We had the good fortune of connecting with DeAnna Minneman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi DeAnna, what are you most proud of in terms of your business?
What makes me the most proud of my business is the feedback I get from my customers. I strive to make the best skin care products available that are free of chemicals, dyes, and synthetic fragrances/perfumes. I believe in my products because of the results I see in my own skin, but hearing the stories from my customers about how my products are changing their skin for the better and how much they love it is what it’s all about. I set out to be a “world changer” to get rid of chemicals from people’s lives so they can have healthier lives and skin. There are so many skin care products out there that, at first seem to improve the skin appearance, but they are full of harmful chemicals. Our products are healthy, natural, AND are great for the skin and you see results within days.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I started making my products as a hobby. As a Certified Natural Health Professional (CNHP), I learned about the body’s systems and how most skin care products can cause hormonal imbalances and other health issues, such as allergic reactions. Most skin care/cosmetic products contain phytoestrogens which cause hormonal imbalances which lead to so many health issues. Our products do not contain any chemicals, phytoestrogens, or synthetic materials. Our ingredients are organic and the essential oils used are 100% pure and organic. Every product I make has a purpose and smells amazing! I started my business with just lotions, lip balms, and bath bombs. Today, we have so much more and I continue to work on recipes to expand our product base. Growing my business has not been easy. I have wanted to give up so many times due to obstacles and financial difficulties. But, my family encouraged me, and so did my customers. And, they still do! I have pushed through the difficult times and I’m glad I did. I really enjoy what I do and I continue to work on growing. I work a full-time job while growing my business and raising my kids. Needless to say, I am tired a lot of the time, but am driven and passionate about my business. I am currently in the process of changing my logo so keep an eye out for our new look soon.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would definitely take them to eat at Blue Corn Harvest right off of the Georgetown Square. It’s some of the greatest food in town. I would also take them to the Round Rock Farmer’s Market in Round Rock, TX to shop from some of the greatest local vendors and farmers (of which I am one) to support local small businesses. You can find anything from candles, to baked goods to meats/eggs/vegetables, and handmade jewelry, just to name a few of the things you will find. And, of course our amazing lotions and skin care. I would then take them to Blue Hole downtown Georgetown to go swimming.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost, I could not do any of this without my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It is through him that I have been inspired to create my products. I also could not do this without the love and support of my family. My husband has been my rock to encourage me when I feel like giving up. He and my kids are my biggest cheerleaders. My oldest son, Grayson, has been working with me from the beginning. He was only 12 years old at the time and is now graduating from high school this year. He has been such a great help. He not only works the markets with me, but he also assists in making products to keep me on schedule. My other two children are also helpers and you will occasionally see them at markets with me working as well. This is truly a family business.
