We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiffani Hartley and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tiffani, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
We all want to live a full and healthy life and I knew that in order for me to do that, I had to make a couple lifestyle changes. One of which was to become a vegan. You will cherish your business as if it were your own when your goal, cause, or purpose is greater than you and something you are wholly dedicated to. I became more passionate about the need for tasty, practical, healthy food as well as the chance to demonstrate to others how delectable vegan food might be after going vegan. My primary goal is to produce delicious vegan dishes that are good for the environment, humans, and animals.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Although being vegan is a niche in and of itself, being only a vegan food blogger is insufficient. So I made the decision to do something a little different and create content by cooking uncomplicated vegan meals and exploring Houston’s vegan dining options. I aim to concentrate on creating content for people who want to go vegan but are on a tight budget. I knew I would have to stand out when I initially started creating vegan content. Since vegan food doesn’t exactly have a good reputation, I wanted to demonstrate to people how inventive vegan recipes can be. When people comment on my reel on Instagram and say things like “omg, it looks so wonderful, I can’t believe it’s vegan,” it makes me incredibly happy. Many individuals give these recipes a try and discover how similar they taste to the real thing, realizing they too can go vegan. Believing in myself is the most crucial element in my success. When you have confidence in yourself, you can overcome self-doubt and accomplish your goals.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
You’ll never run out of restaurants to try or places to explore if you live in or travel to Houston. With a wide range of diverse selections to suit most lifestyles and budgets, Houston is a very diversified city. I would suggest numerous places in Houston, both vegan and non-vegan. Mo’ Better Brews, Lost and Found, Cascabel Mexican Vegan, Kiss Houston, and Veegos are at the top of the list.
I would suggest visiting Buffalo Bayou Park, Typhoon Texas, Discovery Green, and Houston Centennial Garden if you’re looking for outdoor activities.
The city of Houston has a thriving nightlife. I’d suggest checking out Sugar’s, Kamp, Thirteen/The Basement, and Space.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My mom and dad played a huge role in the person that I am today. My parents have made me entirely committed to taking care of my health and preserving the environment. They always made sure I was aware of what I was eating as I was growing up since they were very health-conscious. My parents are absolutely fantastic, and the sacrifices they have made for me are beyond words. My parents’ constant mentoring and counsel is one of the qualities I value most about them. I have grown to appreciate their assistance when it comes to making decisions, even though some people might find their constant interest in my activities bothersome. I frequently try to obtain their opinion and suggestions whenever I have to make a decision.
I also give God praise for all the blessings in my life and the chances he gives everyone of us. God is the one who has given me the strength and confidence to press on both intellectually and spiritually; without Him, I wouldn’t be where I am right now.
