We had the good fortune of connecting with Antrechelle Schumack and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Antrechelle, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I used to find properties for people I knew, and they would then go take what I found to their realtor. My mama and I would also go view model homes frequently to check out what they were doing different with the homes and decor. One day, my husband and my mama both suggested that I go to real estate school. I knew that I had a passion for real estate, so it only made sense to step out on faith and get my real estate license. That was the best decision I could have made.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Hardwork, and being dedicated got me to where I am today. That saying “nothing worth having comes easy” is true, running a business requires work. You have to be willing to do what needs to be done to get the job handled, get the deal closed. I try my best to make myself readily available for my clients, and I do not limit myself. One of the lessons I’ve learned being a business owner is there will be tons of people doing the same thing (career) as I am, but what’s for me is for me. As I stated before, real estate is my passion and I do what I have to for my business and my clients.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d have to say my husband, and my immediate family definitely supported me throughout my time becoming a realtor. It took me about six weeks to finish the courses in person, and I was determined to only take the test one time. Throughout all of that, there was a 6 month old baby, my son, that needed to be cared for. Again, my husband and immediate family ensured that I had time to study with no distractions. No matter what I do, they support me, encourage me, and make me feel like there is nothing I cannot do. For that, I’m forever thankful.
