We had the good fortune of connecting with Tieranny DeCuir and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tieranny, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my business was very simple. I decided that I no longer wanted to be a consumer in the hair industry but a producer. I have always had a thing for hair extensions, so when I decided to start my own hair business, everything came so naturally. Steve Harvey once said, “Your gift requires the least amount of effort “and this has stuck with me. I started off with hair bundles and have now branched out to mink lashes, luxury wigs, lipsticks, and merch.

What should our readers know about your business?
I want the world to know that my brand and business is built off of genuine sweat and tears. Nothing has been giving to me and for that reason I know that it can be taking away in the blink of an I. That is why I offer quality products and customer service. I know that wigs are expensive and a luxury item so I strive to make sure that my customer receives quality items. A Too Much Collection Customer is a Boss in their own right. It is for the woman who owns a business and also who works a 9-5. Luxury is your mind frame. Luxury is anything that makes you as an individual feel luxurious.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

I live in a small town. Port Arthur, TX has a population of about 54k. We are about an hour away from Houston. We have a booming oil & gas industry which attracts many people for work. Although there are not many things to do as there are in a larger city, we do have a lot of gems. For food we would definitely have to eat at the local “Mom & Pop” shops that have been in business for a very long time; “Hung’s Seafood, “Tracy’s Seafood”, “Jaws BBQ”, “Judices”, “J&J Wings”, Kevin Ricos” and “Annes Kitchen”, and “Maganas” …. just to name a few.

For hanging out and having a drink we would go to “Landlords Daiquiri Den” for hookah, daiquiris, different food trucks, and an overall vibe. Next door to them is “Humidor Cigar Lounge” for a grown and sexy vibe, drinks, and imported cigars.

For day time and outdoor fun, there is not much to do, but we do have a historic “Seawall and Board walk”. This is a great place for picnics, sightseeing, fishing, and peace of mind.

For nightlife we would definitely go to “Opulence Lounge” and “Antro’s NightClub for good drinks and music.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shout out Asia Jones, who is the owner of Finessed Beauty Bar located in Central Mall and Krystal Williams who is the owner of Doll Girl Dance Studio.
