True success is earned, not given. Anything worth having is going to require much time, sacrifice, and effort. There will always be challenges and obstacles; however, each of those challenges and obstacles can be overcome and you have everything you need to do so. Obstacles simply provide opportunities for growth and learning so don’t become discouraged and don’t give up. I have definitely learned a lot of lessons being a makeup artist, but the most important one I’ve learned so far is that you can’t succeed with your business unless you actually love what you are doing. I learned to not see my business as just a business but to see it as something that I know is going to make someone feel relaxed and beautiful. It’s a lesson I am still learning, but it is that of self-worth. Knowing what that is and valuing it. I, like a lot of other creative professionals, doubt my work from time to time and I am constantly my own worst critic.
