Hi Albert, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Ever since I was 15, I knew I wanted to be in business for myself. I remember even before then at age 12 I was doing work, not many children would do. Waking up at 6 am in the freezing cold to shovel driveways, in the spring, work in gardens of the elderly in my neighborhood, in the fall rake the leaves in their yards and other things similar to that which began to awaken the entrepreneurial spirit within me. To be completely honest, starting my own business travelcheery.com was not my doing. I serve a great, mighty, and living God, who gave me a sign in a dream to start this business. I knew nothing about the travel industry, in fact I’ve traveled by plane less than five times my whole life. My thought process was, God, how am I to do this? God then spoke to me through psalms 32:8, he said, “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.” I said Amen, hit the ground running, started doing research and found travelcheery.com. I purchased travelcheery.com for $195 and began working for God to provide travelers with a valuable solution to compare traveling rates and accommodations from the comfort of their locations in one click.

To be an entrepreneur is to be an action taker. You have to learn to take some steps on your own. Most entrepreneurs and creatives would agree that, the first steps are never easy. If you truly want something, you have to go for it and have a strong why with depth. A strong why, will kindle that fire within you to continue, when you begin feeling weary, impatient, confused, unsure or doubtful about your goals. I also want the young entrepreneurs and creatives to know it takes discipline to go the distance.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I give all credit, glory and honor to the most high Jesus Christ. Sincerely, if not for the prince of peace calling me and bringing me out of the dominion of darkness and into his kingdom—I would not be the successful enterpriser I am today. Praise be to the living and loving God of heaven and earth.
