We had the good fortune of connecting with Bianca Curlin and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bianca, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
Since I was a kid I’ve always been intrigued with hair, well the beauty industry as an whole. After years of trying different hair brands and often having the problem with the quality not be being good, I decided to start doing my own research. I knew I wasn’t the only one so after months of testing out different vendors I decided to go from there. Over time I realized the passion I had in helping women add to their beauty.
What should our readers know about your business?
I think the thing that sets me apart from other brands is the fact that I am very hands on with my customers. Many who know absolutely nothing about hair feel comfortable coming to me because I am patient. Another this that I make my own multipurpose hair oil. I don’t just focus on hair extensions but hair care as well.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would good to Lost and Found and/or Taste Bar to eat and grab a few drinks. We would go to the graffiti park and rent scooters or bikes to bar hop. If it’s a Sunday we would definitely end the evening at Domain with good music and dinks.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My mom. There have been many, very many things I’ve started and didn’t finish but she always believed in me. Once I found my passion in the beauty industry she supported me 100%. If I ever needed her to collect payments, receive packages, or handle pick ups, she would without an doubt. Besides my mom, my family and friends have stood by my side and made sure I never gave up.
