We had the good fortune of connecting with Amanda Weil and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Amanda, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Something in my soul knew that I was meant for more… meant to help women in a deeper way. I’ve always loved clothing and accessories and creating outfits, and it wasn’t until I fully realized the correlation between style, confidence and self growth that I had a full body yes to create a business. Style is so much deeper than the clothes. Style is an opportunity to express your inner essence in the physical world. Style is an opportunity to elevate into the best version of yourself…the woman you are becoming. Style becomes the physical vision board for the life you are creating. As I realized this deeper connection has been missing in the fashion world, it became clear to me that my role as a Soul Stylist is to merge fashion, spirituality and self growth. It became clear that fashion and style is my tool to awaken women. To open their eyes to what’s truly possible for their life. To excite them to move forward with their true desires in life. To let them know that fashion and style is accessible to ALL women. And from that point forward I started taking one step at a time to create a business.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I believe a culture of confident women who support other women allows us ALL to rise faster and infuse more love onto the planet. Confident women are those who have a deep understanding of their true selves and feel seen for who they truly are. My business guides women to feel seen, confident and worthy by infusing fashion, self-growth and spirituality via in person or virtual styling. Also known as The Soul Style Awakening. I’m most excited about where we are today as a culture. Women are waking up and realizing what they truly want in life and taking action to step into that role. They are realizing the impact the power of aligning our style to who we are becoming has on actually stepping into that role. They are realizing that we have the power to create our reality instead of being a victim to circumstances. I’m proud to be a part of this awakening. Building my business over the past 3 years has been a journey of getting to know myself. It’s been an art of overcoming my own limiting beliefs and continuing to say yes to my vision. It’s been a journey of managing my mind and energy. I wouldn’t say it’s been easy or hard… it’s simply been a journey of self growth. I’ve come this far by committing to my vision and taking aligned action daily. I’ve come this far by choosing not to quit, Choosing to keep going and learn from my mistakes. Choosing to fail and focus on the lesson instead of the failure. It all really comes down to making a choice and being all in.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I fully believe anything is fun if you’re with the right people and have a positive mindset. We’d definitely spend a lot of time in Malibu as it’s so beautiful and peaceful. From wine tasting at Malibu Wine or Rosenthal to lunch at Nobu and some shopping at the Country Mart. There would be some hiking at Mandeville Canyon and a walk along the beach down in Manhattan Beach. We may even have a spa day at Terranea! And of course a weekend in Venice checking out the stores on Abbot Kinney with a bite to eat at The Butcher’s Daughter or Plant Food + Wine. And the last stop would be a stroll along Montana Avenue in Santa Monica.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We all rise faster together, and I’m grateful to have an army of support! First and foremost, here’s a shoutout to my parents for allowing and guiding me to create my own life. For supporting me in my decisions and always wanting me to have complete happiness. I am a huge believer in coaches and bringing those into your life who you admire. There have been so many on this path to recognize… MITT, Maggie Kay, Noa Sade, Shanda and the Heartcore team, Christine Campbell Pate, Kisma, Waxela… and all of the future coaches that I’ll welcome into my world. We’re not meant to be on this journey alone, and I always seek support in the areas I feel called to grow. And of course my bestie, Christen Chambers, who always reminds me of my vision and challenges me to step past my own stories and limiting beliefs. Surround yourself with people who pour life into you and your vision and stretch you to grow. It’s all an energy thing, so keep it high vibe!
