We had the good fortune of connecting with Amayrani Peralta and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Amayrani, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
My inner peace, being able to feel at peace and have an open mind in life makes me happy. Why? Well, I have strong belief that everything you feel, everything you think every emotion will be the reaction you have to others. If you are angry, you will give negativity, if you are happy you will give that. Spreading positivity to others and showing that there is still kindness in this world is what makes me happy.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I specialize in Eyelash Extensions, my creative passion for advancing beauty is to help women feel more confident by enhancing your natural beauty. I am dedicated to providing quality, innovative extensions such as Classics, Volume and Strip look lashes. What sets me apart from others? I think being able to connect with my clients and getting to know each and one of them in another level, making them feel comfortable and being able to boost their confidence. My most proud moment has been able to do so much within a year, getting my own office space and being able to provide a better service for my clients. Growing the so little I started with, gives me so much joy. Starting a business isn’t easy, it requires motivation, commitment and a lot of dedication. You have to really want it to make it happen and most importantly believe in yourself to make things possible. Not everything has been easy I’ve had my days I doubted myself but I always remembered that the hardest part was to to start and I started and went for it so I have no other choice than to keep pushing. I want the world to learn from my story that anything you want you can have. Anything you set your mind to is possible. There is opportunities for everyone! We all have that passion in us, we just have to find it. Trust and believe in yourself.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Honestly, for a breakfast/brunch place I have recently discovered and that I really recommend is Cielito Café which is located on Dunlavy St in Downtown Houston. If you are looking to have a nice Mexican Style breakfast, this is the spot! I recommend trying the chilaquiles verdes and their sopes. For a night out and some friends the to go spot for a nice dinner and some drinks is Ra Sushi, I really love and enjoy this place! For those who are big fans of Sushi and Sake, this is a nice place to have dinner with your partner, friends, etc.. They have a variety of drinks, different options of sushi rolls and other options in the menu besides sushi. Also, not to mention the environment is always very welcoming. There is only two locations in Houston, Westhimer and Town Center.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I believe that sometimes you have to go through rough times to find your true passion in life, also having the right people besides you, pushing you to go for your dreams. I am thankful for my family, close friends and my fiancé that have been there since the first day I chose to start my own business. And most importantly, those who haven’t doubted my motive and have trust my work. Being able to make my dreams a reality by doing something I enjoy and passionate about motivates me to do my total best day by day. A big shoutout to my sister Emili Peralta, My dearest friend Judyth Villalobos and My best friend Sara Olmedo, they been the biggest push and support throughout my journey, can’t seem to thank them enough. Those who really know me and how/where I started knows how much I’ve grown and accomplish in my years of life, I will always cherish this with them.
