We had the good fortune of connecting with Joyce A. Smith and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Joyce A., we’d love to hear more about your end-goal, professionally.
At the end of my career, I will be an executive producer able to greenlight projects and hire new talent for major television studios and top streaming agencies.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m not just writer, but an educator, minister, and leader in the fight for stronger families, mental health, and victims of human trafficking. My outreach efforts include raising awareness by participating in community events, speaking engagements, and training groups for frontline work in brothels, strip clubs, and on high trafficked streets.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love trying different foods, add to that live music, and a shopping excursion off Harwin, and you have a winning weekend.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Harvest Time Church for leadership development; my family for believing in me; my daughter and my students for providing inspiration.
