Meet Ashley Dillingham | Entrepreneur and Mother

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Dillingham and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ashley, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
We started our fence business after seeing how frequently our family was left waiting on a variety of home service companies for weeks just to get an appointment. The communication and service quality were also lacking. We knew there was a better way to provide the quality work our community deserves. From day one our focus has been on being responsive, doing quality work, and respecting our customers’ time and property. That is why we prioritize fast site visits, quick build schedules, and leaving every job site clean. That original mindset is what continues to drive our growth and reputation today.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
76 Fence West Houston started with a simple goal: to provide homeowners in West Houston and the surrounding areas with fencing services that are fast, reliable, and done right the first time. What sets us apart is how seriously we take every project — from the first estimate to the final cleanup — and the respect we show for our customers’ time and property. We’re proud of the relationships we’ve built with the community and the trust our customers place in us. Some customers have added projects beyond fencing, which has been an unexpected challenge and benefit.
Getting here was not easy. Early on, the biggest challenges were managing schedules, keeping turnaround times fast, and maintaining quality as we grew. With the guidance of experienced team members like our General Manager, Josh Taft, and by sticking to our core values of communication, professionalism, and craftsmanship, we’ve been able to overcome those hurdles.
At the heart of our story is a commitment to doing things the right way, every time. That’s what we want people to know about us: we’re not just building fences, we’re building trust, relationships, and a reputation for excellence. We’ve learned that quality work leads to loyal customers and new friendships.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We love inviting friends and family to visit Houston during the Rodeo — it’s one of the most exciting times of the year, with amazing food, live music, and the chance to experience Texas culture. When friends come to visit, we also insist on attending a few sporting events, whether it’s Astros, Rockets, Texans, or our local high school games, many of which our kids are involved in. And no visit would be complete without stopping at some of our favorite spots for Tex-Mex and barbecue — sharing those meals is always a highlight and a great way to show off the flavors that make Houston special. When our parent’s visit we may or may not be found at Lupe Tortilla several days in a row!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We would like to give a shoutout to Josh Taft. Josh is our General Manager and brings over 30 years of experience to everything we do. His leadership, attention to detail, and commitment to doing things the right way set the standard for our entire team. He ensures our customers receive the highest level of support and that every project meets the high standards we hold ourselves to. Our success wouldn’t be possible without his dedication, knowledge, and steady guidance, and we’re incredibly grateful to have him leading our operations. If you get a chance to talk to Josh, make sure you ask him about his time playing UT football or his furniture restoration hobby!
