We had the good fortune of connecting with Chelsea Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chelsea, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
“How can I manifest funding for my business?” were my precise thoughts behind starting my own business.

What should our readers know about your business?
Modern Day Goddess was intentionally created to encourage a “golden” lifestyle which emits peace, love, light, healing and above all good vibes. A part from apparel and our all natural skincare collection, we hold pride in the Holistic Services we offer, such as Sound Bath Meditation with crystal singing bowls, Feng Shui as well Tarot Readings. As a female entrepreneur in this society, it has been quite the challenge exercising the freedom in my creative expression as no one truly takes us seriously unless there is some provocative appeal to the services you offer, and I for one had to shift this for myself. The journey to creating a solid platform for MDG has its twists and turns, but remaining authentic to my Self along the way has allowed me to cross paths with like minded individuals, is what keeps me pushing forward. I have experienced many things that appeased to the ego and appeared good on the outside but always felt a lack within, and Modern Day Goddess gives others the opportunity to tap in within so they may see even more fulfilling, balanced shifts and changes in their life. Creating more abundance.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
There are so many fun things to do in Houston and I for one love a good spot to eat, apart from outdoor adventures and activities! Brunch is always fun at Baby Barnabeys! The atmosphere is always pleasant, great customer service, amazing food and fur baby friendly is always a plus! The Houston Zoo is a must and experiencing the paddle boats on a beautiful day on the water at Herman Park. Seafood is an absolute MUST at Willie Gs and there happy hour is thee best, for dinner as well. At the end of it all nature does it for me. so riding bikes along Allen Parkway or Downtown, Houston is always something a little adventurous to get out ad do. How could i even forget the Musuems!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
As the saying goes, “No man is an island” and on this journey of consistently evolving, I would not be here presently without the Universal laws and my Soul tribe. There are so many keys to the support, love and encouragement received along the way but shout out to my family for their guidance. My Soul sister Leanne Morancie, someone who ushered and paved the way as she executed her own business, along with Shelbi Nicole who has presented me with countless opportunities to put all the tools i have accumulated into action.
