We had the good fortune of connecting with Christine Salazar and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christine, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
If you think about it everything you do in life is a risk. You are always going to be taking chances in life, the real question should be why take the risk. The answer is because it make’s me happy. I am a firm believer of following your passion no matter what you do. When you follow your passion you will succeed.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
With my makeup artistry business ( Beauty by CNK ) I focus a lot on customer service. Every Client I get I appreciate and I always let them know. I love that while I am getting their hair and makeup ready for there special day they are comfortable enough to talk to me and vent about their struggles in life. It is like a therapy session for them, except at the end of it you feel better and look even more beautiful.

With my modeling side I have learned that there is so much more to it then having just a pretty face. If it was about a pretty face any one could do it. You will get rejected a lot in the industry, you will also get judged a lot. At the end of the day what sets me a part from the other’s is my dedication, coming in to a shoot with a positive attitude. As well as collaborate ideas and uplift each person I work with.

Something I would love the world to know about me is that I am creating my brand in the hopes of inspiring people. Inspiring people to be more positive, kinder to one another, happy about living life, and reaching your dreams. Hey If I can do it, you can do it.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would start of by taking her to brunch at sweet Paris in City Center, there nutella with strawberry crepes are amazing! Since we are best friends I am assuming they love to shop til they drop, therefore I would be taking them to the galleria to find something cute to wear for later that night. Then we would start of the night at the secret garden, so we can sip on some Sherbet Mojito. We would end the night at Tropicana so we can burn some calories in dance floor.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My husband, he has been the one to really encourage me to follow my dreams, no matter what they are. Not only encourages me but supports me. He is at every photoshoot, he is taking behind the scenes videos, he is editing videos. He helps me with ideas for content, he is helping film the content, and editing. He advertises me every where when it comes to makeup artistry, the first year I was becoming a makeup artist he was actually letting me practice on him almost everyday. I would come home from a makeup course and try the look out on him. I am just really thankful for having him in my life.
