We had the good fortune of connecting with Cosha Joseph and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cosha, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I was so afraid. The unknown and thinking if I can handle it. It caused me to procrastinate on starting. I realized that I had to take a leap of faith.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I have been in the counseling field for over 13 years. I love what I do. It is my passion to be there for others. Once I knew what I was supposed to do I went forth. Nothing was able to stop me. I am proud of my success and where I have come from. This field is not an easy one but it is so worth it. Challenges came but the outcome was rewarding which gave me the push to move forward. I learned along the way that anything worth having is worth working for. I get it now. Safe Place Counseling & Consulting and Cosha Joseph LPC, CAMSII, CCTP is only growing. More to come
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take them to eat. (From Louisiana) A bar and lounge – I love the energy Shopping-OMG my favorite thing to do
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My dad molded me. He prepared me as best as he could and I owe a lot to him. He is not longer with us and I know he would be so proud of my accomplishments and success. I am who I am because of him and the love and support of my mother. I can also say that my husband and kids are those who hold me down. When I think of quitting, it is because of them I don’t. The times where I am overwhelmed they give me reason. My shoutout goes to all of them
