We had the good fortune of connecting with Dallas Burkhalter and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dallas, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Our thought process behind starting SpringStock Music Fest was that we all wanted to make our own music festival to highlight local musicians and bring together local businesses for an unforgettable experience. Being that each of us are musicians ourselves, it shaped our perspective on what a music festival could be and how we can give a platform to those who deserve it the most.

Throughout our last three festivals, we have cultivated a loyal fanbase and built up a community of artists, small business owners, and amazing festival goers. We plan to continue growing until SpringStock Music Fest is THE EVENT of Houston.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets SpringStock apart from other festivals and events is our dedication to people. Whether it is the artist, the attendee, the vendor, or anyone else, we make it our mission to create the best experience for each individual. Without our people, none of this would be possible, so do the most we can to give back to each individual who joins us on our journey.

Getting to where we are today was not an easy task. Learning what it takes to throw a music festival, to run a business, and overcome the obstacles that arise, took a lot of determination. But with a great team and great dream, anything is possible.

One thing we have learned along the way is that success does not happen over night. It is built one step at a time and requires consistency. It may take a month, a year, or longer, but if you stick with it you will succeed.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
A person we could not have had such success without would be Lennie Ambrose, Chief Marketing Officer over at Saint Arnold Brewing Co.

After our first SpringStock at Elm & Magnolia in Old Town Spring, we reached out to Saint Arnold about hosting our next festival with them. From there we met Lennie who helped us elevate our festival and begin our collaboration with Texas’ oldest craft brewery. Throughout our last couple of festivals with Saint Arnold, Lennie has continued to advise us and collaborate on bringing our vision to even bigger milestones.
