We had the good fortune of connecting with Dominique Worsley and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dominique, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
You keep going when you feel it in your soul. There’s a voice inside of all of us that tells us or gives us an alarm to keep going or to retreat. Since I’ve been releasing music that voice has been getting louder, and the reception I’m receiving from my music is what motivated me to keep going
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
The music I create is soulful, cinematic beats mixed with a raw and gritty storytelling that’s very detailed, but still easy on the listeners ears. Warzone Worldwide is an independent label where we do everything ourselves from A to Z. I can’t say it’s easy, but it’s rewarding and we’re learning new things everyday. I just embrace the journey and the impact im making towards changing the narrative of the music industry
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We have to go to all the spots that developed me into becoming an artist. Hudson and Co. in Jersey City has some of the best views of New York and some really great food. Pier 115 in Edgewater for the nightlife scene. If you’re into hiking and outdoors like me I would go to palisades park in fort Lee, it’s breathtaking.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to shoutout everyone from Jersey City, NJ who helped motivate and push me to become the person that I am. I give all credit to the most high for guiding me on this path and giving me the strength and confidence to do this.
