We had the good fortune of connecting with Emerson Geter and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Emerson, what do you attribute your success to?
In my opinion, it is always difficult to pinpoint one important attribute as the most important factor. I believe it is a combination of networking, relationships, and marketing. Anyone in the entertainment business understands the importance of the relationships and the ability to obtain them by networking. Sometimes in this business, it is not about who you are and what you could do, it is about who you know.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I credit life as the overall entity to shaping who I am professionally. I have been fortunate enough to hold positions of management throughout my corporate career. The ability to work in technology as a young adult provided a great understanding of how businesses and markets were transitioning. Some of the most successful companies have an extensive presence in technology whether virtual currency transfers, to research and development departments. Also being able to learn and practice employee management, it started to become monumental to the success of our brand. Not only do these attributes allow me to teach, but also understand people on the most basic level of humanity. That helps when working together towards common goals, and also builds trust along the way. Our brand is significantly centered around the longevity of opportunities and being able to provide those to people with similar interests. G-ED UP ENTERTAINMENT pronounced (Jeed-Up), basically means, “ground up.” Planting a seed and nurturing it to grow. We are focusing on young to old age groups and everyone in between who desire the skill within music, film, and sports. Entertainment as a whole is a vast industry and we look to continue to expand within all sectors.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
This is one of the most difficult questions I may have ever answered. There would be so many places to see when visiting Los Angeles. All of the historic areas of LA is always great to see. Malibu, Sunset Blvd., Glendale, Burbank, Universal City, the list goes on and on tho one of my favorites is Santa Monica beach. You could go to any one of those places every day of the week and enjoy your time there.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are many mentors, colleagues, friends, and family members I can give the credit to in terms of support. From my mother, to key professionals within the music and film industry all deserve a shout out. Those who I can call on and get a genuine response on elements within entertainment or just general life lessons, carry a lot of weight for success. They all are wholeheartedly appreciated.
