We had the good fortune of connecting with Hippie Lo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Hippie, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
Absolutely, taking risks can be a game-changer! It’s like stepping out of your comfort zone to reach new heights. Risks often lead to growth and transformation, moving you from where you are to where you aspire to be. Taking risks is how I moved from a small town to city Metro and have been able to follow my career goals.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My job and career choice is working as a studio engineer. I take pride in delivering high-quality mixes and masters. What sets me apart from others is my genuine passion for music. I love when a song leaves the lab, and I feel proud to have been a part of it. I started this journey for the love of music, and I’m truly blessed to make a living doing it. It hasn’t been easy to reach this point, and it’s still a challenge to keep progressing to the next level. But I have no Plan B; all I have is an incredible work ethic, immense support from my wife, and God answering every blessing I ask for. I’ve learned to trust myself and never lower my standards just because someone else isn’t willing to raise theirs. At the end of the day, I want everyone to know that I’m your Hippie’s favorite Hippie, and I’m here for you. I’m grateful to be part of the creative process, bridging the creativity that artists bring into this world into a file that we can all enjoy.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Since technically I live with my best friend, let’s just say my wife had the entire week off. We always love trying to hit a sporting event whether it’s a football game at nrg or Astros game. We’re always constantly looking up New Mexican food restaurants! But we occasionally return to Dave’s hot chicken or getting a trill burger! We live in the area of the city where there’s lots of trails and forest and we love to take our dogs on walks, we’re taking them to the waterway in the woodlands!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Without a doubt, I give full credit to God, my wife, my family, and some really close friends whom I consider brothers for their unwavering support. I love reading books, and the one that stands out the most is “Everything You Need to Know About the Music Business.” Of course, I must also acknowledge every single artist I’ve had the privilege to work with and continue to collaborate with. Without these artists talking, singing, or rapping into my microphone, I wouldn’t be Hippie Lo.
