We had the good fortune of connecting with Jacinda Moses-Lahrmann and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jacinda, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success/brand is in the name: Health Transition Counseling! Often times we go see a counselor but leave the same way we came. With HTC, we work on the mind, body, and soul collectively. We want you to be healthy-mentally and physically. During great counsel there is usually a transition that happens from the perception you came with VS the one you have come to embrace.
What should our readers know about your business?
Healthy Transition Counseling is not just your standard counseling business. We aim to make sure we are available to our clients! We have several services that we offer from your standard one on one in office counseling, Zoom, Facetime, to Mobile! We also provide pre-marital, group, family, cooperate and after care services to funeral homes for their clients. The road to HTC was not hard because I have a passion to help those in need. The passion to help people and counsel them has been something that I have been doing since a young girl. It’s a gift! One thing that I have learned along the way is always look at the roots. The roots! There lies the beginning of everything/everyone and until one can understand their roots its hard to understand the whys! Not only that, I have also learned, that everything you need to know is in the word of God. Take your life(roots) and the word(Bible) and watch a transition happen- but one must be open to change!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I had a friend visiting I would take them to the Turkey Hut Restaurant, Esther’s, and Red Rooster. I would also take them to some of the murals that are around the city.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My biggest shout out goes to my wonderful parents! Although, they are no longer with me, the values they instilled inside of me makes up my character. The example they gave me was to take care of your community and to help those who are in need of help. To always love and not to judge those who’s life looks different from yours. The reality is, we don’t know where that person traveled in life or what mountains they had to climb just to get out of the bed on any given day. Just as God gives us grace and mercy, we should do the same for one and other.
