We had the good fortune of connecting with Jennifer “Jenn” Alcorta and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jennifer “Jenn”, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
My daily affirmation has been: Keep Going, your hardest times often lead to the greatest moments of your life. Keep Going, tough situations build strong people at the end.

I love this affirmation, mainly because, it’s the honest truth. I am living proof!! Everything other people may see you do now is made possible by the experiences that may have not been seen or spoken of. We are molded by our past and current experiences.

Unregrettably, at a young age, I had to take on more responsibility than I would ever want for my children. However, this responsibility taught me to strategize, to organize, to be timely, to fail but to get up again, to seek the answers to my own questions to be thorough and to protect. To be my own Leader, “Look at her, what can I do a better job at tomorrow?”

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a Licensed Property Tax Consultant and your Houston REALTOR®. I truly feel that being in the property tax world now for a little over 9 years, gives me a decided edge in understanding the market, appraisals, and spotting the next big thing. I have also worked in property management, interior design, event planning, and business development, which gives me a full-circle understanding of the industry and how to best serve my clients. I am most excited to announce, as co-founder, a new and upcoming Group to Houston, The PrimaLuxe Group! We plan to give our clients a new look and approach to real estate.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Being the queen of itineraries, On Monday, we would welcome her with a small intimate gathering held in our home with closest family and friends.

Tuesday- SHOPPPPPPPING. I would take her to the RiverOaks District and to some of my favorite stores in the Galleria ( FENDI)
afterward, catch a drink or two with dinner at Joey Uptown.

Wednesday- Self Care! Woodhouse Day Spa/ SkinLab/Skindeep

Thursday- Grab some drinks and appetizers at MAD Houston! The cocktails are amazing here. Then head over to dinner at Steak 48 ( my favorite steakhouse in Houston)

Friday- Tour the city/visit exhibits/ Cupcakes for lunch at Crave Cupcakes and A margarita for dinner at Escalantes Tex Mex!

Saturday- At-home BBQ / Pool Party!

Sunday- Depart

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I shine the spotlight over to My husband- For all the support, honesty, pure love, and guidance.
My daughter- She is MY REASON! Oh man, the thought of her refuels my soul. Every day is for her. As much as I am proud of you, I want you to be proud of Mommy.

My father- Who is my hero! You did a great job, Daddy.
