We had the good fortune of connecting with John F Smith, BBA and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi John F, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I am born and raised right here out of the city of Little Rock, Arkansas. Growing up I’ve always enjoyed music and art. I wanted to start my career as being a music teacher however that never happened because my career path took a turn towards art and graphic designing Lol. My background in Graphic Design has impacted me any ways I could have never imagined. I’ve been able to create branding & marketing materials for clients all across the United States and I’ve even had the privilege to design and create some branding materials for Africa’s Largest Financial Institution.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Designs by Jay Graphics & Marketing, LLC is not your typical graphic design company. I don’t just gain new clients I create bonds and memories with my clients. It’s not just about making the next dollar from a client but it’s about bringing their vision to life with creativity and a lot of people have trusted me to do just that. Designs by Jay makes an attempt everyday to go above and beyond for each client that reach out to us. Designs by Jay got where we are today through our professionalism, our integrity, and most of all our heartfelt connections with our clients. Was it easy getting here? Absolutely Not Lol! It took time, patience, challenges, hurdles and more but we overcame every obstacle by beating the odds. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is keeping my word because my word is my bond when it comes to taking care of my clientele.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting my area first thing first…..We are going to eat Lol we definitely enjoy doing that however I like exploring different restaurants here in my area. We would definitely go to the bar to have drinks, I believe we have the best skating rink ever Lol, We would go climb Pinnacle Mountain and then wait for someone to come rescue us Lol but most of all we would enjoy each other’s company.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First I would like to give a big shoutout to God for giving me this amazing talent and gift. I believe without him I would be nothing. One of my biggest fans who inspires me in the Graphic Design industry is Ronald Burgess with Ironix Design Suite! I met Ron a few years ago and has always been fascinated by his creativity. Ronald has helped me with a lot of things such as colors, fonts, blending, being more creative plus some. He is definitely the definition of creativity.
