We had the good fortune of connecting with Jordan Victorian and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jordan, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
Work-life balance is something that varies based on the individual. Everyone has different, ambitions, goals, and circumstances which will ultimately shape work-life balance. I previously had a more carefree approach to work-life balance. I would try to achieve my goals when I was in the mood, but as life has taken its course and I have grown, I have noticed how much more important it is to be relentless in my pursuit of getting to the top of the mountain. I have set up life in a way where I can dedicate as much time to my business as possible and I will take a break when I am starting to feel mentally or physically exhausted.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am primarily a 7th-grade social studies teacher for Spring Independent School District. I have been teaching since January 2020, and teaching in Spring ISD since August 2022. I also run my own sports photography business where I capture primarily high school and amateur sports in the greater Houston area, I have been doing this since December 2023. Finally, I run a YouTube channel called Double SG Sports where I discuss storylines from primarily the NFL, the NBA, and the WWE, I have been working on this since July 2023. The journey to where I am today has not been easy but it has been very impactful on my life. I have learned that most things worth having will not come easily, and that success is often the result of hard work for an extended period and doing what others won’t.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
There are countless places you could go in Houston the area is so diverse. But being a Louisiana country boy I would bring them to Stampede on a Saturday night

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
After God who makes all my success possible, my Mother, Daddy, and sister are my biggest supporters and I could not be where I am without them. Love you guys.
