We had the good fortune of connecting with Kat Frame and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kat, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Why did I pursue an artistic career? Honestly, I wouldn’t say I have a career more of a creative business. I started making custom cakes about three years ago and modeling for about two consecutive years. Starting cakes was a no brainer for me. I love making custom cakes and could see myself doing it till I’m old. Modeling is a different story. I started as a favor to a friend, and then after that, more photographers wanted to work with me. Something about modeling gives me great joy. I’ve have started to develop great partners in the business and making a pretty great profit from some of the projects. I’ve always been a creative person. I love art which happens to come in different Styles and forms.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart from the rest of the competition is I put a lot of my heart into what I do. My cakes are made by hand and plan out every detail to make it the best cake I possibly can. When something doesn’t turn out the way, I plan I always try again And even harder. Modeling, for me, is an escape. When I’m in front of the camera, it’s just me and my emotions. Not everyone understands my passion for modeling, and that sometimes can be hard. It’s a fantastic feeling for even just a couple hours I can get glamorous and be this confident person that just wants to have fun and create art.
Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
Honestly I grew up in old town spring I love the little town. You can meet amazing shop owners and see some different kind of art. The restaurants are pretty good to and the little town it’s always changing. You can support local vendors at their farmer’s markets or enjoy the multiple festivals and events they put on.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Katz sweets & goodies Wouldn’t be possible without the support of my mom dawn and my other half Chris. My modeling I have to give credit to the advice I have gotten over the years to make myself into the brand I am to Allen Baytes of imagesbybayes. My other major supporter is my HMUA Margret Rios. Again my other half is also A significant supporter.

The one image by the window is credited to the amazing Jennifer Benedict of Jbenedictboudior. Make up artist Margret Rios. The one with legs for days is a talented photographer named Brittany Mattocks of Brittanysheaphotography.
