Hi KellyAnnette, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
In 2006 I battled Ovarian Cancer, I spent 8 days in a coma,,, upon waking my daddy was laying in my bed crying and praying,,, and as daddy opened my hospital room drapes the very thing that came to my heart & mind was a favorite Bible verse of mine.

‘She is clothed with Strength & Dignity and she LAUGHS without fear of the future”. Proverbs 31:25

This quote is everything to me, it’s also a huge part of my life, my business and my faith! This quote is on my business card and it is attached to every single gift that goes out of my Boutique and it’s on my Signature Sweatshirts for my Boutique! So many of my clients have shared how they keep those cards and they put them on their mirror, dash of their car, in their Bible and how it’s helped them through so many things! If they tiny message touches another heart,,, that’s all that matters!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’m KellyAnnette Alspaugh, Owner & Curator of Alspaugh’s Boutique’By KellyAnnette, a lifestyle Boutique in Seabrook, Tx. Being set Apart is truly a desire of mine,,,, I adore my clients,, I listen to them, I appreciate and I value they entrust me with when it comes to their gift giving. I custom gift wrap each gift in my Boutique and I pray over it. Clients have mentioned they Feel the Prayers,, I love that…. Prayers offer another connection which is the whole purpose of gift giving to me,,,, connecting!
I honor the Lord Jesus Christ as my CEO,,, I feel honored to represent the Community I Live in. My Boutique offers brands that you may not have heard of, yet you will quickly adore,,, those brands are passionate, smaller batched and appreciate not being over exposed,, Many Being Exclusive in their representation in a smaller scale means more to them than being in the masses. Telling their story to a client really builds a sense of relationship,,, which matters so much to me! I represent them wholeheartedly and sharing their story to my clients makes a huge difference, adding a connection that makes them feel apart of something more than Merely gifting something that’s over exposed and everywhere missing a connection. I spent years in Oil & Gas in the Houston market,,,,and loved to walk around the Galleria,, Neiman Marcus was my go to for Different, and the personal touch shopping. And Lord & Taylor,,,, The way both brands did things always made me feel special,, but the difference was always felt,,, the connection of the department and the way they handled things. In today’s retail,,, we can’t all be the same and thrive! When I was a little girl,,, my pawpaw would take me into Downtown Nacogdoches after church,, he was poor,,, but rich in his time and heart,, always making me feel like I was the only one in the room,,, focusing on eye contact and admiring my wants to touch everything in the store… there was this amazing shop called Mizes Department store,, it didn’t matter what you purchased, it was tissued, and had a sticker and wrapped so beautifully,, I always loved that feeling of going in and knowing whatever pawpaw bought me,,, it would be a feeling of a Present’….Thats the Feeling I pray my clients feel,,, or when I ship something to one of my clients colleagues or family members I pray they feel the difference upon seeing the heart & soul put into the gift! Some call it Fancy,,, I call it a Feeling! Upon marrying and moving 14 times in 18 years chasing my husbands dreams and living all over the south. I went into many shops in those travels and living there. I always saw the same brands clustered in the same places and I just wondered why the same brands happen to be in so many shops, when there were so many wonderful products and brands out there in the world! I’ve always had the desire not having what others had,,, not following trends but simply adoring the different styles and pairing things differently and frankly, not much of those brands ever touched me….or made me feel connected to them. As years went by I realized I wanted to step out on my faith and Open a Boutique someday to provide a small niche of Fabulous Brands that were not everywhere else and merchandise them differently, meaning just because it’s a beautiful Buffett it can also go in the Master Suite as a beautiful console! Funny story: I stayed at a Local Hotel and ordered room service,,, while I waited l opened the drapes to the most beautiful view of the city,,, yet when I sat on the sofa the entire city view was behind me,,, well….. I flipped the sofa, chair and desk to view the city,,, transforming the room,, the Bell hop knocks on the door, and I opened the door and said please roll the cart to the table,, He said WHAT DID YOU DO IN HERE? I said I just changed it,,, he loved it,,, and later the hotel manager knocked on the door, he wanted to make sure I did not break anything, Big Smile,,, he loved it too!! A view can be captured and enjoyed IF you can See the View,,, to this Day,,,, I don’t understand why people block a view with a sofa! When the ambiance can be captured, and enjoyed! While in the Oil & Gas industry I decorated the Gathering room for an employees birthday…I turned the table around and moved the furnishings all around differently, everyone had the surprised look on their face upon entering,, the big boss came down stairs and said… OK…. Who did this?? Deep voice and stern!!! I said O Me Sir…I’ll clean it prior to 5,,,.. he said… good, ok…. I have a set of twins and I want you to come do something in my home,,, and I’d love to see what you could do with my Furniture!! Big smile,, I said O ok…. Thank you for not being upset,,, he said No…. This is amazing… well that turned into a party at his ranch outside of Houston. It also started an Event planning and birthdays, corporate holiday parties for many others having gatherings …. A side gig that helped me get courage, a push of confidence and a smile from him gave me the courage I’ve carried all these years! Nothing is easy…. But here I am Trying at least to provide a destination and service for my local community and those traveling into the Coastal Seabrook area to come explore and experience a somewhat different environment of Retail! And sometimes that turns into a staging or repurposing their Home. I did a home lately, she mentioned I don’t care what you do! O Ok Girl, well I moved a beautiful table console from upstairs to the entry way, and moved her dinning table to the setting area and flipped the rooms. Took everything that was clustered on the floor, meaning way to much of the same thing,,, repurposing it,,, and all the silk greenery went to the outdoor patio…..Moved her Bed to a wall that now gives her a view of outdoors and not a tv! Peace and enchantment simply by redirecting what you have.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well…..
If a long time friend came to visit I would have to say that:
We would simply hang at home, or the enchanting Marina’s in the coastal area of Seabrook.
Something about me is that I appreciate simple and easy!
Thou I’ve spent many years running and gunning I’ve come to appreciate togetherness! And a Beautiful meal shared at home! But,,,when I do venture out,, I really do love Eddy Vs on Kirby in Houston for an Evening out,,,, setting at the bar,,, Or a beautiful table scape appreciating the Gathering of music and conversation,,,

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I can’t take the credit,,, my momma uplifting me my whole life to be my honest best,,, I can say, ‘I am Nothing without God! Plain and simple! The grace and mercy to get up every day and do what I Love is a pure blessing to me and certainly isn’t in my own strength. We all have so much to be Thankful for! I admire So many gifted individuals who do things out side the Box and make a Whirlwind of Fabulousness with bare minimum or Over the Top!
