We had the good fortune of connecting with Kevin Fuentes and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kevin, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I started in August of 2020 as I was in college for computer science. It sounds crazy to start during the pandemic, but like many other people, I believe it shook them up to start something new. It was the main reason why I started G2Nine Branding when I realized how important the internet was and getting noticed is if you want your business to survive.
What should our readers know about your business?
Everything is starting off with just me as the designer, but eventually, I do want to grow into a larger size. For me, it’s all about helping businesses and people create their dreams into reality. A lot of people have dreams and designs that they want to put out there digitally but don’t have the tools or even know how to do them in the first place. That is where I want to help and achieve for those who wouldn’t be able to for themselves. I just love to help people and think this job has a way of helping everyone around me and impacting their lives.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Personally, my favorite spot in Houston has to be Chinatown. If my friends are ever down to hang out, we will always meet there. We know this little shopping center where it has everything you need. All you have to do is park your car and walk around. From boba to ramen, everything in that center tastes soooo good. I usually go there every weekend to spend time with friends.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
For me, I really have to thank the person who wanted to push me to reach new heights, and that’s my business partner, Juan Carlos Casas, with his son Juan Sebastian Casas. I thank them for all of their efforts in pushing me to grow.
