We had the good fortune of connecting with KEVIN LIU and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi KEVIN, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
My word is my bond. If I commit to an event I will be there no matter what. I am proud to say since our inception. We’ve have never cancelled an event on our end. We’ve have had many cancellations/ reschedules requested by our clients or due to inclement weather. But not because we could not fulfil a commitment on our end.

What should our readers know about your business?
We are the 1st “mobile only” axe throwing company based in Houston TX. We started out with modular targets we had to construct and break down on-site, this was we very labor intensive and we needed a better solution. We converted to our 1st custom built trailer back in 2020 and never looked back. We now have 3 trailers and multiple crews to serve our clients better.

Our clients range from individuals celebrating birthdays to fortune 500 companies and everywhere in between. We proudly serve Houston and all of it’s surrounding areas, We’ve gone as far as Salado TX for a music fest and we are contracted for a trade show in Oct 23 in DFW area. We have done over 300 private and public events since 2018, we have taught over 6,000 people how to throw axes, most for the very 1st time!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
One of the many reasons I love Houston is due to it’s diversity! You can find just about any type of cuisine in our marvelous city. We also have over 50 micro and nano breweries (my favorites are No Label, 11 Below, B-52, Bad Astronaut, Brash, Klaus and Running Walker! Being a huge foodie myself I would plan a food and drink tour during the day: Street to Kitchen, LORO, Sao Lao Cafe, Han’s Crawfish, Ninfa’s on Navigation, Moon Tower, Saigon House, Xin Chao, Fung’s Kitchen for Dim Sum and then check out some of the DIY and small music venues to support local artists in the evenings: TripSix, Black Magic Social Club, The End and House of J just to name a few!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to give a shout out to all of my Axe-perts! this business like most businesses is not an one person sport. Without their help and dedication we’ve would not be where we are today!
