Hi Kirby, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind the success of my business has been my ability to tap into what makes my clients unique and then amplifying that so they can authentically attract who they have been called to serve. Even though I create amazing brand identities and websites for clients, strategically positioning them in a way that shows off their brilliance and expertise is paramount. The core work that we do here is then presented in an exclusively designed brand identity and website that attracts their dream clients and opportunities. This is why laying out a strong brand foundation from the ground up is essential. Before we create the logo, before we choose the colors, before we select the fonts, we must first uncover the part of your brand that lies beneath the surface. We dive deep to truly get to the heart of why you do what you do, who you specifically do it for, and how it transforms their lives.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Kirby Mack Creative helps industry experts and service-based businesses break up with their boring brands and elevate their online presence through strategic brand and web design. We noticed a trend of brilliant women sharing their expertise and gifts but not getting anywhere because their boring, mundane and inconsistent brand presence was holding them back. We’ve tapped in to not only provide them with an amazing and unique brand and web design, but strategically positioning them in a way that elevates their online presence so they can attract quality leads, top press opportunities and become more profitable overall. It was not easy at first to approach our services in this way. At first, we were like most designers; simply creating pretty websites and logos because that’s what everyone was looking for. But now that we have repeatedly witnessed the killer results (in growth, profit, opportunities, etc) our clients have been getting when we infuse strategy with design, we decided to integrate it into our overall process as a wholistic approach to branding. We’ve even coined it “The Boring Brand Breakup Plan”. I personally have learned that it’s important to be constantly tapped in to what your clients and target audience is struggling with and what their pain points are and how what I have to offer can make for a transformative experience for their business. I am more results-driven for my clients since shifting my focus, which stretches beyond creating beautiful aesthetics.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Lunch at Ouzo Bay, then to the current gallery or exhibit at the Contemporary Arts Museum of Houston. After that, we’d get drinks downtown at Secret Garden and lastly, pick up the best pound cake in town at Not jus’ Donuts.
