We had the good fortune of connecting with Kolade Shofoluwe and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kolade, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
One of the most important habits that has helped me succeed is time-management. Waking up everyday and planning out time for the tasks and goals I needed to accomplish has played an undeniable role in my success so far. Time is a non-renewable resource that must be utilized correctly to achieve your goals. The skill of time-management is one of the most important in the world.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
PeacexPiece, Inc. is a philanthropic organization dedicated to empowering people through the advancement of the arts and bringing awareness to issues of concern in the community at large. By holding ourselves to an unwavering standard of excellence since the beginning, we have been able to set our brand apart from others. We’ve meticulously coordinated every decision .
Although starting off was never easy, certain things got better as we mastered the major learning curve along the way. One lesson that I personally have learned from my journey is to take pride in the struggles. The end goal is not necessarily what makes you, but the path you took to arrive there.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would first take my friend to the Japanese Gardens or Color Factory as those are some of the best sites in Houston. We’d then venture around the city throughout the week visiting various food places downtown. Some of my most notable places to frequent in Houston are BAE, The Reggae Hut, Turkey Leg Hut and Rookies Cookies.
Game places like Andretti’s and Urban Air would also have to be on my list too. I also enjoy driving around the city in the nighttime as the lit up buildings make for a beautiful sight.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to extend a shoutout to my family and close friends. Only through the undying support and encouragement from my loved ones, was I able to progress to where I am now. If not for them, I would not have experienced the foundational love and motivation that fueled my drive to succeed.
