We had the good fortune of connecting with LaShanna Moore and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi LaShanna, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
I am inspired by beauty, energy, community and the natural dopamine of life. I’m inspired by people; people being and people doing. I’m inspired by the light of God and the freedoms of life and creativity that we’ve been given.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
First of all I love what I do. I believe in my calling. I’m the proud founder of a wellness practice called LaShanna Leonard Moore Wellness. Listen, it is a culture and experience of its own- a haven of well-living. What sets me apart is my passion, empathy and skill set. I live this life behind closed doors. I am not a sensationalist so I don’t like to see people taken advantage of. Sickness and discomfort can breed desperation, but LLM Wellness brings integrity and love along with the support that is offered. The challenge is always in making sure integral voices and work overshadow the black markets and scam systems of the natural medicine industry. That’s where my advocacy also plays a part. I believe in speaking for the people as well as treating the people. What I’ve learned along the way is that my education and individuality are always key. I’ve learned that not everyone is in this field for the care and concern. I’ve learned that my voice and contributions matter; that keeps me going. I want the world to know that LLM Wellness walks the walk. I would want them to know that real skilled, loving, professional people exist in this space.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well we are presently in a pandemic so a lot of touring isn’t happening; however, I would support local small businesses that are trying to stay afloat by online ordering and social media shout outs. Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My husband Gene Moore. Although he’s my partner I admire who he is and the talents that he possesses. He’s a Grammy-nominated artist, a creative mind, vocal genius and loving sensitive life partner.
