Meet LeeAnne Denny | Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with LeeAnne Denny and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi LeeAnne, what do you attribute your success to?
As a company specializing in Character Appearances, I prioritize a believable experience. That means that the costumes have to be convincingly high quality and actors need to have a firm grasp on developing the character they are playing.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The Fairytale Headquarters has been around since 2012 and the expansion to Houston Hero Headquarters began in 2014. With so much experience, we have encountered many scenarios at public and private events that leave us prepared for every eventuality that might arise. We learned to pivot during Covid when distancing was a priority and still managed to create memorable experiences! We have had the time to build a giant stable of characters, both in the world of fairytales, and the world of superheroes. With that foundation established, We now concentrate on offering an experience that is immersive and magical to the children that we entertain.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I have a deep love of this city. It’s one reason I put Houston in my company name! If a visitor came to town, I might start in the museum district. Museum of Fine Arts Houston is world class and should not be missed. While we are in the area, we would swing by The Museum of Natural Science. We’d have to see the dinosaurs. The Houston Zoo deserves a day of its own. Maybe we would finish the day at the zoo with a pedal boat ride in Herman Park. You can’t visit here without seeing Space Houston! We would need to take the trip south to experience that bit of history. We could finish the day at The Kemah Boardwalk. After all that hustle and bustle, a relaxing day on the Bayou would be fun. With Kayak rentals, we can enjoy the water in the heart of the city. If shopping is a priority, you can see it all at The Galleria!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
It is cliche, but I could not do this job without the support of my family. My husband, and son are always there on this adventure with me. Whether it is managing costume pickups and drop offs, or driving actors to their locations when needed, they are always ready to step in when I need an extra hand.
