Meet Lina Paola Parra | Ava’s Air Conditioning and Heating Llc Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lina Paola Parra and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lina Paola, putting aside the decision to work for yourself, what other decisions were critical to your success?
I believe that behind every business that is successful, the owner is behind it. I had to put all my time and effort into this. You have to know every single detail about your business and how to do every part. For me the biggest and most important decision was to run my company for the first year personally. I could easily have hired someone to run it for me, but that was not the vision I had. I answered calls, booked appointments, went to homes, sold equipment, picked up parts, helped install, cleaned up, everything and anything you can think of I did. Why? Because I wanted people to see what Ava’s had to offer. Our detail into everything we do, the customer service, our honesty and our willing to go beyond than any other HVAC Company will. I believe this and the motivation of my three Ava’s has contributed to the success of it. That and my amazing team that I call family behind it. I’m sure there is still a lot of learning and growing to do, but that’s the part of Success.

What should our readers know about your business?
I’m the owner of Ava’s Air Conditioning and Heating Llc. We are have been open for 2 years, but I’ve been in the field for many years. As a women, I wanted to bring my own perspective to it. You don’t see a lot of women in this field, which is a challenge but that’s what makes me love it more. My company Ava’s specializes in Residential and Commercial HVAC. We work with all brands, but what we sell is our work. From the way we answer the phone, to the way your equipment gets installed, to the customer service we strive to provide you, is what sets us apart from anyone else. Our customers become family and that is priceless. Yes it’s been a hard road, I’ve shed many tears and been treated awful but that’s the motivation you need to take risks and go for what you strive. Determination, hard work, discipline, ambition but most of all…..humbleness will take you far. I’m excited for everyone to get to know Ava’s and help out in our community as well, that is a very important factor to me.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I have many favorite spots, but currently if a friend was visiting we would be here at my Ranch that I currently moved into. If it’s not cooking outside, looking at the animals or riding ATVs, I would most definitely take them horse back riding. Just last weekend we made Sancocho en leña. It’s a Colombian Soup made outside in firewood. The Sunset here is beautiful as well, we have hammocks where you can relax. If we were to head to the city, we would probably go down to Mastro’s to eat. That’s one of my favorite Restaurants.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d say there are a few people that have a special place in my heart, whom have pushed and motivated me to be where I am at today. My biggest motivation I would say will always be my daughters. My oldest is 18 going to College, which I’m very proud off. My middle one is 11 and my baby is 5. These 3 beautiful souls have pushed me to be the best at anything I put my mind into. They give me the energy to strive for more and to keep doing what I love and enjoy. That is why I named my company Ava’s. Alexa, Valentina and Aaliyah. Last but not least my sister Ale and my mother. She was a single mother of 3, who worked day and night to provide for us. I believe that’s where I get my hard work and perfectionist ethic from. I would love to dedicate this Shoutout to my mother Liliana. Even though she feels she’s not the same after her stroke, mom you are the most amazing and the hardest worker I’ve ever seen in my lifetime, and thanks to you I’m Successful. I love you!
