We had the good fortune of connecting with Melissa Ieans and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Melissa, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I knew I wanted to do more. I wanted to be able to encourage others and inspire them to also work towards breaking the generation gaps and generational curses. When growing up, we were not taught much on saving, investing, and other important financial literacy and concepts in life. I wanted to be able to build a business that would build dreams for people that work with ultimately building my own….if that makes sense. I want my business to fully encompass every value of life from life-health, to beauty and lifestyle on a budget and digging deep to attack our financial goals and to increase our wealth and continue to break generational curses. Being financially free is possible for everyone and my mission is to provide resources and motivation to others to do the same……I wanted to stop the trend of “Go Fund Me” in our community with providing education and life insurance and other financial planning solutions; and to discover every solution and any affordable resources, avenues, and a variety of product and services that cater to most values of life. (Life/Health, Beauty/Lifestyle, Financial/Freedom/Security, Motivation, and more!)
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
It was not easy to get to where I am at. Working in the Finance background for over 15 years has been challenging but has been the opportunity of a lifetime that ultimately pruned my skills to what they are. I’ve accomplished a lot of successes within the many years such as saving department a good amount of funds as well as helping businesses/new owners create a logistic or organizational design for their businesses and more. I have proven to be a dedicated and committed individual and I am confident that anyone would be pleased when choosing to work with me or to do business with.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well since the pandemic has affected us tremendously, it is kind of hard to answer this question. But we would hang out at the house with a nice family and friend gathering and get a BBQ going or check out a few restaurants since I’m such a foodie… Go visit Galleria and Katy Mills shopping stores and then maybe a nice bar and lounge such as Bombshell’s and etc. I like any place with high energy and music.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
