We had the good fortune of connecting with Myriam Moreno and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Myriam, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I wanted to create a place where everyone and anyone could come to with out having to worry about the cost being extremely high. Skin care is definitely important but sometimes it takes a back seat to other things in life that are more important. I wanted to make sure everyone was able to afford to come in and not have to worry about breaking the bank. I also started my business to be and set an example for my children. Anything and everything is possible with hard work, passion and dedication.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I launched my esthetics career 4 years ago and I have loved every single minute of it. I have always strived to offer my clients the best care at an affordable price. I love being able to help everyone in my community with their skin care needs. My greatest achievement is being able to say that I built my business all by myself with out help. The hardest part about building my business is the uncertainty of things especially right now with Covid. The most valuable lesson I have learned as a business owner is to take it one day at a time and not let the little things bother me or get in my way. The world should definitely know that I am here to help everyone with their skin care needs and I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We are going everywhere. Day 1 will be all about food. Definitely hitting Pollo Alegre . They have the best chicken in town. We are also going to Sol de Mayo to grab Tacos, and so many other great eateries too. Day 2 is about history and historical areas her and other close by cities. Day 3 is all about shopping. We are definitely hitting all the local shops. Day 4 is night life and grabbing drinks at Freya’s. Day 5 is about relaxing and doing a spa day. Day 6 is for friends and family. Day 7 is making sure we plan her next trip to down here to see me again.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My husband and my kids. They are the reason why I try my hardest everyday. I want to make sure that my kids know that hard work always pays off.
