We had the good fortune of connecting with Naomi Kealy and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Naomi, the decisions we make often shape our story in profound ways. What was one of the most difficult decisions you’ve had to make?
The most difficult business decision I’ve made, by far, was to quit my full-time job in the middle of a pandemic and focus solely on my business. Talk about risk taking! I’m normally pretty risk averse, but I had been planning to make this transition for the better part of a year. I just didn’t know when I’d make the jump. I began to realize that the thing slowing down the growth of the business…was me. I simply didn’t have time to devote to the projects that would move my business forward, nor did I have the time to onboard and train new team members. If I wanted to continue to grow, I had to devote my full attention to Charming Spaces. When covid hit and my business didn’t miss a beat, I knew it was time.
What should our readers know about your business?
Charming Spaces is a full-service luxury home organizing company, focusing on the busy woman. In the spirit of making her life easier, we are excited to announce that we are now offering move management services in Houston!
Moving sucks. It’s stressful. We remove that stress. With the same flair for organization, we approach moving in three steps. We pack (and by “pack” we don’t mean throw your stuff in boxes). We coordinate the move. We unpack and organize. All with the same care and attention to detail needed to turn your home into an oasis.
I believe if you operate your business with integrity and strive to serve your community, your community will serve you. Over the years, Houstonians have been a shining example of strength and unity. In tough times such as these, I am proud to serve the Houston community.
Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
Absolutely! 4J Brewing Company is female owned and has great stouts! At Slowpokes, try the brie flatbread. In collaboration with Friends For Life, you can play with cats and drink coffee at El Gato Coffeehouse Cat Café. What else do you need? Present Company is the best restaurant for gram worthy photos!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
A big shoutout to Layne and Danielle over at Lifestyle Business Collective! They’ve created an amazing community of like-minded female entrepreneurs in the luxury home services space. They provide educational resources and so many tools to help grow your business! You can check them out here: https://www.
