We had the good fortune of connecting with Nicole Baldwin and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nicole, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I was born and raised on a dairy farm, where my dad worked very hard for very little. This upbringing significantly impacted who I am today. Life on the farm was demanding, with work required 365 days a year, which meant my life experiences were limited. In fact, I didn’t even see snow until I was in my 40s.
Starting work at the age of 15 to help my mom make ends meet instilled in me a strong work ethic and a desire to be of service to others. At 19, I began volunteering as a firefighter, a role I held until I was 21. This experience solidified my commitment to helping others, leading me to nursing school. I then worked as an ICU and ER nurse for 10 years, driven by the desire to provide care in critical situations.
Being the first in my family to attend college was a significant milestone for me. Witnessing my parents’ hard work and dedication despite their limited means inspired me to strive for a better life for myself and care for them as they aged. This background has shaped my dedication to healthcare and my pursuit of a Master’s in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner and currently working on my second Master’s in Healthcare Law.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I own a nationwide telemedical practice, dedicated to providing care to patients who might otherwise struggle to access healthcare services. What sets my practice apart is that I am licensed nationwide, allowing me to reach patients across the country. Additionally, I have been offering telehealth services since before the COVID-19 outbreak in 2020, which gives me more experience in this field compared to many others.
My journey to where I am today in business wasn’t easy. Initially, I never intended for my practice to grow as much as it has, but I always believed that God would place me where I was needed. I have a background in Trauma Surgery, a field I specialized in for several years and one of my proudest positions.
Starting and growing my own business came with numerous challenges. To navigate the complex world of healthcare, I recognized the need for a deeper understanding of Healthcare Law, which led me to pursue a second Master’s degree in the field. This decision has been instrumental in my ability to manage and expand my practice effectively.
Throughout my journey, I’ve learned that perseverance and dedication are crucial. The path to growth is filled with setbacks, but success comes from the ability to rise after each fall. These trials have equipped me with valuable insights that I can now share with others who are on a similar path.
At my core, I am a humble country farm girl who genuinely wants the best for everyone around me. My upbringing instilled in me honesty, loyalty, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to helping others, and these values continue to drive my practice and my mission in the healthcare field.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to give a heartfelt shoutout to my dad. His tireless work ethic, unwavering dedication, and steadfast loyalty have been fundamental in shaping who I am today. Growing up on a dairy farm, I witnessed firsthand his commitment to our family and our livelihood, working hard every single day for very little in return. This instilled in me the importance of perseverance and dedication in everything I do.
My dad also nurtured my love for God, which has been a guiding light throughout my life. His faith and spiritual strength provided a solid foundation for my own beliefs, and this has played a significant role in my personal and professional journey.
So, to my dad—thank you for being my rock, my mentor, and my inspiration. Your influence has been a cornerstone of my success and continues to guide me in my career and life.
