We had the good fortune of connecting with Paola Aguiluz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Paola, what’s the most difficult decision you’ve ever had to make?
Whether it be starting the organization or from simple daily projects the most difficult part of the process is starting. Once that hurdle has been passed everything is simple decision making. Even through relaunching in the middle of a pandemic seemed like a perfect opportunity given the new market available and the people needing the resources that we provide in the Business Branding and Event Planning industries, due to us already starting the initial process of brainstorming a relaunch far before the pandemic had begun.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
A|P Consultants is a small business firm focused on bringing needed resources to small businesses and non-profits. With 20+ years combined work experience with major industry leading companies, my business partner and myself chose to use that knowledge to bring smaller organizations to the level in which they are able to compete with major competitors. We have gotten to where we are with long hours and delegation of tasks. Between my business partner and myself it is clear who is the one with ideas and the one to bring that idea to action. Being able to hone on our areas of expertise has allowed us to hyper focus on getting the client the results they want. In a world full of opportunities, it is not easy knowing where to start, but that is what we are here for. To help bring the knowledge to the people who need it the most.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The list is never ending – with various friends out of state that come visit I would say that the one constant is food. Regardless of the mood, style or character there is a place to get food that makes everyone happy.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The biggest shoutout goes to my business partner. Not only was she the mastermind behind the idea of starting our organization, she has been there through tough times not only on a personal level but professionally. Beyond her I would say all the authors of the books read during times of growth that helped make better decisions without having to live through similar hard times, i.e Michelle Obama, Matthew McConaughey, Common, etc.
