We had the good fortune of connecting with Patricia Uebe and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Patricia, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
“Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love what you are doing or learning to do.” – Pele. One of my favorite quotes is from the Brazilian football player, Pele. Nothing worthwhile can be gained without hard work and dedication. What we dedicate in life will return to us. Be consistent in what you do, be curious about everything around you, keep learning every day, keep informed and keep studying, knowledge is power. We are all self-made.

What should our readers know about your business?
I’m a real estate agent in the Greater Houston Area and I’m truly blessed to be able to do what I love in this city of opportunity. The most gratifying work is helping people by making a difference in their lives. I work with one of the most reputed brokers in the greater Houston and I specialize in both Sales and Listings of Residential and Commercial Real Estate. As a Certified Negotiation Expert, I always strive to get the best deal for my clients in every transaction. It is my believe that my clients are the most important aspect; as they say it’s all about customer care and the customer is always right. Originally from Brazil, and relocating to Texas a few years ago, it has given me the ability to see Houston through the untainted eyes of a newcomer, it has been invaluable and so important for me to help my fellow countrymen who are relocating from Brazil to Houston and in turn has help me build a considerable international client base. I am able to provide them all the necessary information ensuring they will get the best possible fit for their family’s needs and expectations. I’m also a proud member of the International Division within my broker, representing Brazil. A Real Estate career it’s not an easy one, its challenging, diverse in so many ways, from building your clientele within a very cutthroat marketplace, having the ability to adapt and use cutting edge technology, business models and data technology as they are evolving so rapidly within the industry. Consumers now have more informed information and options than ever before, as real estate agents we must rise to these new challenges as our role evolves to ensure we add value to clients in years to come. What sets me apart is that I understand that buying or selling a home is more than just a transaction: it’s a life-changing experience. That’s why I’m dedicated to providing exceptional, and bespoke personalized package for all of my clients. I take great pride in the relationships I build and always work relentlessly on the client’s behalf to help them achieve their real estate goals. My main philosophy is simple: “treat others as you would like to be treated”. In any real estate transaction, I’m not just trying to close a deal but built a trusting relationship by advising clients of the pros and cons in the entire buying or selling real estate process. I pledge to be in constant communication with my clients and I truly believe that if they haven’t left feeling they had an amazing experience, I haven’t done my job. I don’t measure success through achievements or awards, but through the satisfaction of my clients.

Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
Firstly, Houston is big, thriving, cosmopolitan, and home for activities and interesting sights galore. It’s a diverse city attracting people from all walks of life, a wide variety of things to do for outdoors enthusiasts, cinema goers to families and lovers of art and everything in between. I could ‘introduce’ Houston city to a friend starting by getting breakfast or lunch at The Dunlavy, overlooking Buffalo Bayou Park and Lost Lake, and after a nice meal, a short walk to the Jackson Hill pedestrian bridge where is the best spot to take a picture of Houston’s amazing skyline, and then moving on towards Downtown, Main Street, City Hall and Discovery Green which fronts the George R. Brown Convention Center where you can enjoy strolling around the park but also the numerous bars and restaurants in the area. As the fourth largest city in the United States and home to very profitable & philanthropic energy, biotech, and healthcare companies, Houston has great museums such as Museum of Fine Arts, Children’s Museum, Museum of Natural Science, which in particular has an excellent dinosaur hall, fancy displays about drilling for oil, and a beautiful butterfly garden and also the Health Museum. When tired of the museums it’s easy to enjoy the outdoors by walking into the beautiful and well-maintained Hermann Park where is located the Houston Zoo. From the Zoo we can spot the really tall buildings, one of the largest medical centers in the world, Texas Medical Center. A quick tour around the Rice University area is also included in my list of places to see in Houston, including the Rice Village and West University neighborhoods. Fancying Italian food I could suggest D’Amico’s, Prego, Coppa Osteria, great options around the area. NASA’s Space Center Houston is also a must go for who is visiting Houston for the first time, and after to visit the Space Center it’s worth the trip to go towards Kemah Boardwalk, home of fabulous waterfront restaurants, charming retail stores and festivals. A quick stop at Tanger Outlets in the way back to Houston will be in the list. Cannot forget to mention a visit to Houston’s monument to retail, the Galleria Mall, also in the list of things to do, including the stunning Gerald D. Hines Waterwall Park and after that, a drive through River Oaks just to marvel at the mansions. A must is one of the infamous Tex-Mex restaurants, the city teems with superb Texas-Mexico fusion cuisine.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I dedicate my life’s story to everyone that has helped and supported me during the bad and good times: to my husband who has been my pillar of strength during these past few years whilst embarking on my new business venture; to my wonderful and loving family, even though we are apart, they always send me words of encouragement and push me to be a better person; to all my friends who help me balance the stressful work time with the good times. My colleagues, which I can always depend on to share advices and experiences; and to all my clients, who usually become my friends as the friendships builds and, for the opportunity to work with them and grow our friendships and business hand-in-hand.
