We had the good fortune of connecting with Patty L. Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Patty, what inspires you?
I’m Inspired by People who feel enthusiastic about their life, who convey good energy and are passionate about what they do!
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I have always been a person of integrity, I have learned to develop strong work ethics, and I am very responsible with my work. I am always excited to learn a new skill, with the beauty industry rapidly changing its important to learn and adjust to new ideas and trends. I began my career as a Makeup artist because that’s what I was passionate about. Although I liked my previous Job, it didn’t make me happy. I was not enthusiastic about it and/ or passionate anymore. After holding the position for many years, I felt I needed a change, the transition was definitely not easy, it brough along many challenges that I was willing to take. I took a lot of risks but they were worth it. I would like for people to Know that it’s never good to be in a position where you are not happy, just because the money is right, find your passion and follow it. I have learned that Its ok to let go of what doesn’t bring satisfaction to your life.!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Our city has lots of great spots for entertainment, I would definitely take her out to eat at a fun restaurant, one of the cities attractions is Downtown Houston skyline, so definitely somewhere around that area would be ideal, in the evening the Secret garden HTX seems like a great hangout, or the Aquarium, Go for a Jog at Memorial park, or buffalo bayou for a bike stroll and sightseeing! do a little shopping at the Galleria. And I would take her to see the different art murals around town and take lots of pictures!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would have to give this credit to my Husband! Only he knows how much work and passion I put in to everything I do; he’s seen my struggles and he’s always been so supportive with my ideas and Challenges. He has been my number one support, mentor and I have learned so much from him, there’s never a question that goes unanswered with him!
