We had the good fortune of connecting with Quiera Young and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Quiera, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
George + Loyse began with a vision of encouraging people to take time for themselves. I was able to develop several natural products that were multi-purpose so that there was no excuse as to why people wouldn’t indulge in selfcare.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
If you were blessed to know George + Loyse then you too would know the loving example in which they both embodied. For them it wasn’t just about the talk but the actual walk as well. George + Loyse both stood firmly in the truth and did everything with love. On a business perspective nothing differs. I was encouraged to get back to the old school/ancestral ways of taking care of self. because it was evident that the healing powers of herbs combined with love and intention had a tremendous effect that’s able to show up in your life once you’ve decide to put the work in on a daily basis. Together George + Loyse had 7 kids and they were always able to fully show up for their family due to the time in which they dedicated to prayer and selfcare. What a great example and honor it is to carry on their legacy.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Granted another broken egg is always good. But I personally enjoy a homecooked meal because nothing beats it. Plus not to mention my uncle Bill is mean on the grill and Hospitality runs deep in my family so it’s a party filled with lots of laughter, food, spades and homemade desserts whenever and wherever we are gathered.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
They say it takes a village to raise a child and I am still growing. No matter the age I believe we’re all learning and growing unless you’ve chosen otherwise. I am surrounded by a remarkable tribe of folk that I’ll forever be grateful for. They keep me rooted all while holding me accountable and in awareness of my light.
