We had the good fortune of connecting with Rae’Lynn Kossie and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rae’Lynn, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
The most important lesson my business has taught me is that it’s okay to not be perfect. I spend so much time trying to perfect my business and please both new and returning customers but the reality is that it’s all about growth and that takes time.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
April 18th, 2021 will mark a year since I’ve started The Rare Kollection. Although it took a lot to put myself and my business out there, there’s been real growth. From the clientele, products and thought I put into my business; my business has grown so much in so little time. I’ve found better ways to represent my brand; custom packaging, logo labels, hang tags, eye catching business and thank you cards. I’ve come to realize that getting your name out there is very important and now I’m looking at the bigger picture, including the smaller details. It hasn’t been easy but The Rare Kollection is only going to improve from here!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would definitely go downtown, they have the best spots to eat and enjoy yourself! Places like Lost & Found or the Turkey Leg Hut are always busy but the wait is worth it! The places I find the most fun are the 3D, interaction places like the Color Factory or FOMO Factory!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to everyone who’s truly supported my business from the very beginning! My family, friends and customers have made a huge impact on both my personal and professional life. The support definitely doesn’t go unnoticed and I’m so grateful to have such amazing people in my corner through my journey as a business owner.
