We had the good fortune of connecting with Rebecca Castillo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rebecca, what do you attribute your success to?
The Jumping Zone was created with 14 years experience in mind. My husband is the nuts and bolts of this program. His 14 years experience in the field combined with my experience in customer service and planning helped us start the foundation of this business.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I come from years of experience in leadership roles which require constant communication and customer service skills. Our goal is to treat customers with respect and help them meet their needs for their events. We are most proud of the equipment we offer. Our items are clean and we offer a large inventory to help satisfy the customers needs. We are also proud of the growth of reputable corporations we have been able to add to our customer base. Hard work, no excuses and accepting challenges and drawbacks is what has helped us get to where we are today. Lots of patience too! One lesson we have learned is that while you try your best to satisfy every single customer, you also have to accept that there will still be individuals who will not be satisfied – and that’s okay. At some point, you have to tell yourself that you tried all you can to make things right, and if the customer is still not happy, then in the end, you have to be able to walk away knowing you did what you could. We want people to know that we would love to help plan their next birthday party or event!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I am from Houston so my favorite thing is dining, the outdoors and even a good salsa club. I would take my friend to eat at Ninfas or Donerakis. I would take them for a drive in Galveston and walk the pier to the restaurants and shopping. Later, go to Tropicana for dancing or Warehouse Live for some music.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Our shoutout goes to our children and employees who have tirelessly contributed to the success of this company. They have given up their weekends, social life and time to help us meet our goals every step of the way. Through the challenges we faced this past year with Covid, they stood by our side and remained patient while business was slow. My mother in law is the backbone of our cleaning and sanitizing of equipment every weekend. She is meticulous at her job and makes sure our inventory is accurate. Without these individuals, we couldn’t be where we are today.
