Meet Richard Robinson | Visual Content Provider (VCP)

We had the good fortune of connecting with Richard Robinson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Richard, why did you pursue a creative career?
I’ve always been a creative person hints the name true genius Creatives. Wether it’s physical or mental creativity runs through my blood. I think it’s genetics.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
For those who don’t know I’m also a recording artist. Music plays a big part in my life and it’s my first love. Being in the music industry definitely showed me alot as far as the resources that I would need to be more successful. One of the main reasons why I picked up the camera in the first place. Just as I would record and master my own music I also needed that professional content for my audience. Within that I found a new love of art. Just being able to showcase others talent or brand or business in such a creative way is amazing. It just keeps me going. I’ve always loved to see my people thrive. There’s a saying I like to go by that I first heard from Jay-Z never send another man to do something that I wouldn’t do myself. I’m big on that. It’s a great lesson to be taught.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Since I’ve been in Houston my favorite thing to do is to go on these trails. There are so many and it really shows the beauty in Houston. Also a huge Energizer in my creativity. And man don’t I love to eat. If I ever started a YouTube channel i would definitely be out here giving food reviews. But honestly anywhere I am is going to be a good time. You have to see the good in everything. It just makes life easier.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to shout-out my uncle Stanley “Substantial” Robinson. If it wasn’t for him I don’t think I would have encountered or engaged in most of what I do creatively. He’s a great father, husband and Artist. He’s has always gave me the push I needed. And I can’t thank him enough. Watching him since I was a kid. He has really inspired a large portion of my career.
