Hi Robert, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
The primary motivation for starting a business is driven by a combination of personal passion, the desire to help others, and leveraging existing skills. It took me many years to finally make the decision and to move forward and as long as my wife was onboard then the time was right.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I have always worked in a sales /customers service roll and the majority of that was almost 30 years with Frito Lay which is part of PepsiCo. There are always challenges in work and life and you have to stay focused and trust that you can overcome challenges. I been recognizes several times and have won the top sales award for Frito Lay The Ring of Honor which is the top performer in the region. Build relationships with people, get to know your clients/customers and build that trust with them that they can always count on you to take care of them. I chose Cruise Planners franchise first of all because my Cruise Planners advisor that I booked with and their reputation in the industry along with over 30 years in the travel industry. The amount of knowledge and support behind me is something you can not put a price on!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would for sure take them to my favorite locally family owned restaurants in our area. Not only for the food but like I mentioned before relationships. The personal service and relationships that we have built with our favorite restaurants is what keeps us coming back. I would highlight what make the area what it is and the point of interest.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The motivation from my wife and girls, combined with my family’s trust in God, is a profound source of strength. This deep connection provides a clear sense of purpose and resilience.
