We had the good fortune of connecting with Rodney Norvil and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rodney, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
My business impacts the community by bringing people together to enjoy themselves through music and entertainment. Majority of the crowd is typically Haitians, however, the music creates a space where individuals can connect and socialize with others, both within the community and from out of state. By fostering an environment of inclusivity and engagement, we help people build relationships and share memorable experiences. Our goal is to ensure that everyone feels fulfilled and leaves our events with a sense of joy and satisfaction. We aim to create not just events, but meaningful moments that contribute positively to the community and enhance the social fabric of our city.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I have a very good taste in music, and my passion for sharing that joy with others is the reason I chose this path. I’m very proud when those who book my events or attend them tell me how satisfied they are with the outcome. Being from a foreign country has made me very open to exploring different cultures’ music, tastes, and values. This openness not only enriches my own experiences but also allows me to curate events that are inclusive, diverse, and resonant with a wide audience. My goal is to leave a lasting impact through each event, ensuring that attendees walk away with memorable experiences that celebrate both our differences and our common love for music.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
In my opinion, Houston is mostly known for its diverse food scene, its ability to connect business owners, and its late-night vibes. Therefore, when someone close to me decides to visit the city, I will make sure they explore those things. First, we would go to Five-O-Nine Grill, a lounge dedicated to bringing unique island vibes to Houston. Secondly, we would go to Marie&Esther Salon. As a young entrepreneur, I believe these ladies would have great advice on how to start and maintain a business. If this individual comes to Houston on the 3rd Saturday of the month, you’d be sure to find them at K.I.S.S (Keep It Sexy Saturday) hosted by New Flame Entertainment. N.F.E’s main focus is to bring great vibes to the city of Houston and make sure no one leaves unfulfilled.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My first shoutout goes to my team New Flame Ent (NFE). They are my support system and are there when I can’t be. These are the guys who keep me motivated and remind me to continue working towards the goals we’ve set. They are the ones who handle the tedious tasks that make a huge impact on the team. Their dedication and hard work behind the scenes allow us to shine and deliver the best possible experience at our events. Without their relentless effort and unwavering support, we wouldn’t be able to achieve the success that we have. I’m incredibly grateful to have such a reliable and driven team by my side.
Last but not least, I would like to thank my supporters who always come out and support team New Flame Ent (NFE) events, because their supports are highly appreciated.
