We had the good fortune of connecting with Sev7en Taylor and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sev7en, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
Mental habits. Being able to discipline myself, being open to birthing a new ” me” and leaving what I thought I needed behind. I knew in order to be successful; I would have to place myself in that position. There’s a lot that comes with becoming successful. People don’t know that you can’t have everything from the start at the finish line. I read a lot of books and me & my partner listen to motivational speeches. We practice a lot of communication with goals and how to continue be the best support system for each other. That’s very important in romantic and non- romantic relationships.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I always been a writer. I would read books on the top bunk of my bed. I would tell myself ” I’ll be a young author” and I did just that. Music came in as the topping on the cake. I love expressing myself and giving others tools to do the same. I wouldn’t be here without my art. It truly kept me sane during dark times and I will always show nothing but gratitude to it. Lessons I’ve learn is to always go at your own pace. This isn’t a race. Completing things fast take the meaning away. Be powerful in your intent to create and don’t shy away from your focal points. Everything isn’t meant to be understood. Everyone won’t understand you. So make sure to continue to push forward with those things. Back to my books my writing always captured the readers. They always told me how connected they were to work and I always wanted to make sure I was putting out meaningful things. That also ties in with my music or anything I do creative wise. I will not produce anything I don’t stand by.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would show them all the great food joints. I enjoy all kinds of foods. I like to expand my taste.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The universe, my partner and everyone that was sent to aid me along the way. I thank ya’ll and appreciate the dedication it took to get me to where I am now. Team work truly makes the dream work.
