We had the good fortune of connecting with Sunny Moza and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sunny, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
I love good quotes because they’ve a lot of wisdom wrapped up in just one line. Here’s one of my favorites:
“Every man dies, not every man really lives” – From Mel Gibson’s movie, Braveheart.

Come to think of it, we are all in some kind of rat race whether we know it or not. We are trying to achieve goals that we think the society will value and appreciate. In the day-to-day hassles of life, we completely forget our real purpose. More so, when the going is good.

Over time, I’ve realized that ‘living’ is much more important than ‘achieving’ something. It’s okay if things don’t always go according to our wishes. The key is to do the right thing, even when the odds are against you. Do your best and trust the higher plan.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Even though I’ve a Masters degree in Computer Engineering, I consider myself an Entertainer.

I’ve acted in 100’s of theatre plays (and 3 feature films), and have been a radio jockey for over 10 years now. I also host some of the biggest private and corporate events across the US.

Having established myself as an Actor, Radio Jockey, and America’s Best Desi MC, there’s one other thing that I’ve been doing for a while – Personality Coaching. This is where I help people find their True North and make sure their actions stay aligned to it. I’ll tell them things about them, which other people usually won’t. It’s like having your own personal trainer, not just for fitness, but also for overall personality development.

Here are the two main reasons why I love doing it:
1. To help others – not using some generic coaching template, but by actually getting to know them personally and then working with them to make small changes for gains that can be sustained lifelong.
2. To help myself – I honestly believe that the best way to learn, is to teach.

I consider myself fortunate enough to be able to do what I like to do.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I like to drive so most likely it’ll be a road trip.

One of my favorites has been where I drove along the coast on Pacific Coast Highway, to Death Valley, to Las Vegas, to Grand Canyon, to Zion & Bryce National parks. As you can see, I like nature more than the city life.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Everybody that we encounter in our lives teaches us something.

Being a public figure, I get to interact with lots of people, including celebrities like movie stars and noble-prize winners. I’m fortunate enough to get to learn from them by observing closely how they interact with others. Sometimes I learn about what to do, and many times about what not to do.

Currently, I’m in awe of my 4-yr old Golden Retriever, Leone. She teaches me the true meaning of acceptance. If she gets a treat, she’s happy. If she doesn’t, she’s still happy.

Recently she got injured so she’d to undergo a surgery and had to be on 3-legs for a while. It broke my heart to see her like that but she was still full of life. She accepted the fact that she’s on 3-legs and moved on. Ever happy and playful. That’s the zen state I’d love to achieve one day.
