We had the good fortune of connecting with Tammy Leigh-Goodall and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tammy, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Over the past few years. I observed how we as Melanin Men and Women have learned to truly embrace our Hair, Skin and our Culture. Through out our journey, we have acquired more knowledge on how to protect our Mental with Self Care, Self Love and a Village. The Brown Collection was created to provide a system of products driven to enhance and cater to your Hair and Skin’s overall Health. When I created TBC, I was dedicated to helping African Americans perfect our communities while also providing a safe place for us to shop unquestionable black owned products with truly natural ingredients.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I could have my Bestie come out for a trip we would definitely start the week off with Wine Down Time at my mom’s drinking Not Just Wine Wineade by Winetenders until the Sun set. Once the evening hits I’d take her to a new hot Black Owned Restaurant in Houston called Prey to discuss what’s new and catch up with some cute drink selfies. Over the next few days, we will enjoy shopping at the galleria Houston, lunch and hookah at Bar 5015. After the partying, business as usual. Its very important to discuss our business ventures that are coming up so we can continue to be supportive in each others lives, so enjoying Girl Boss Suites is a complete must.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Id like to give credit to Soultry Jones, Founder of Soultry Productions LLC. She has played a huge part in my life and company. From the personal and business advice, the transformations in my growth and just being a village for me and my son while I take the next steps to become a better mother, business owner and overall a better woman. Soultry’s genuine support has made a HUGE impact on the woman I’ve become today.
