We had the good fortune of connecting with Trevin Oberkrom and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Trevin, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Hands down success comes from effort and your surroundings! I fortunately learned very early on in this business that your results are directly a result of the effort you put forth, Real Estate sometimes gets a bad reputation for being easy to get into or it provides you this great freedom of schedule and lifestyle you can’t find in most fields. That could not be further from the truth, the best of the best in this business work hard for everything they produce. There are no short cuts or tricks to becoming an elite agent, you have to work hard, invest in yourself physically and mentally, and you need to surround yourself with people more successful than you as mentors.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
There has been nothing so far with this business that has been easy! But I never asked for easy or simple, I just wanted the opportunity to prove myself and have a chance to be successful. Humbly I sit here today incredibly grateful and blessed for how my first four years have developed in real estate. Things started off quickly with a bang and have only built from there. After I finished my second year I sat down with my broker with some crazy big goals and dreams for the future and he told me to get where I wanted to go, I would need a team. So that is when The Krom Group was born, the first team member was hired in 2020 and as of January 2022 we just hired the 5th team member. So, we are excited to see where the future leads from here. Our entire team modo is built around honesty and integrity, we pride ourselves on being 100% truthful regardless of how easy or hard it is for our clients to hear, we are there for them and to watch out and protect their best interest. Funny enough that is how our tagline for the team was made. – Real Estate. Without the BS!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Our family are big foodies, we love to try and eat at hole in the wall unique places. So, we venture to a lot of new areas from time to time. We spend a lot of time in different areas of The Woodlands and Tomball, but we do love going down to the Heights or Old Town Spring and spend the day shopping and eating a good lunch and grabbing a sweat treat to top it off.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I say this with zero intention to earn brownie points with her… but hands down my wife Amber deserves a ton of credit for where I am today. Before I got into Real Estate I was broken, in many ways. Mentally, emotionally, spiritually and even physically. I was coming out of an industry that destroyed my confidence, my happiness, my health and damn near cost me my family. But she never gave up on me, she always saw my potential and could always see the real me. She knew what my strengths were in life and what made me tick, so she pushed me more than once to start in this business and after a little fighting on my part from the fear of starting something new, I am 4.5 years in now and couldn’t be happier.
