We had the good fortune of connecting with Trixie Gynn and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Trixie, putting aside the decision to work for yourself, what other decisions were critical to your success?
The most important decision that contributed to my success is learning to take risk and working as a team.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I can’t say I’ve had just one proud moment I have had several proud moments. Walking the famous red carpet at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival in France was an experience like no other. My most challenging accomplishment was winning the 2018 Bronze Telly Award & 2020 Silver Telly Award. Both made me realize you really have to give it your all and let nothing stand in your way. If your mind and body doesn’t hurt and you didn’t piss off the people around you, then you didn’t give it your all.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
As a Latina I love several Tex-Mex restaurants throughout Houston. Los Cucos, Ambriza and El Trompo just to name a few. Certainly, I do love to go to fancy restaurants in the galleria and downtown as well but I’m just an ordinary small town girl who would rather cook and grill at home! Home is where the heart is!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I definitely what like to dedicate this shout out to my mentor Shelley Michelle an outstanding American fitness model, actress and the most famous body double in Hollywood. Shelley taught me everything in the television business, friendship and how to be fierce on a red carpet.
